India " The Land of Rapists"

The  land of snake charmers has now  has taken a step  ahead now it’s a land of Rapists where every man is a  poisonous snake inside. I wanted to write something but the whole incident has moved me from inside I knew it was coming I could see it coming and like a nightmare it has finally hit us. Women in India not safe the everyday every big newspaper seems to say the same story sorry the same fact but is it something new??? Can you find a single girl in your neighborhood who was never sexually harassed leave aside never maybe multiple times.
India shining yes a myth which is sold to the global markets and if not that mesmerize people with our glittery culture. CULTURE!! Yes did I Say that? Not letting people have privacy, no respect for women, beating up children and the list is non-exhaustive. Unlike our Bollywood movies where actresses in bikinis and dancing with male friends till late night is made to show an India which does only exist for the sons and daughters of the privileged .What about the rest ?? Have u asked yourself what went wrong are we really that savage of a nation???Are the guys we had grown up with so sick?? The answer lies in our education which only is a medium to make you partially employable and fully non-human. Be it parents or the teachers everyone is responsible men and woman are  kept separate like  farm animals  the hush hush around sex and the guys having their  sex education  mind it not from a class, teachers leave aside parents but from porn movies and illicit magazines and yes at times from leaked MMS ( you see the real stuff) yes that is Indian education. I remember in my 7th grade the whole chapter on reproductive system was discarded because our esteemed Biology teacher thought it was adult stuff remember the stuff was some pictures of our organs yes our body which God has given us and we are made to be ashamed of it .These are all stories for people like me who are somewhat from a middle class family with more or less educated parents. So our esteemed ministers, khaps and religious gurus decided rather than changing our education and society let’s try to control the hormones of our men by covering  our girls because our men ( educated or not) can’t bear the sight of a girl in  skirt and turn into rapists ( logical).if that is not enough take away their mobiles take away their right to speak ,eat ,drink, sleep and live.
Indian women if are not killed in the mother’s womb (parents are normal) will be killed by the in-laws and if everything goes right will be brutally raped and killed. Do you think all these can be changed my stronger laws yes maybe to a certain extent but a healthy society doesn’t need a police ( who again happens to be a man likely)to be standing at every corner of a street to  control us .Remember the Assam incident a girl walked out of the pub at 10 pm and was striped in public why ?? what amazes me is I thought criminals are like standalone individuals so how could 50 people gather in the crowd what made them come so voluntarily for such  a sick job. Had a man met an accident would they have come with so much zeal?? So imagine what kind of a society we belong to…
I never wanted to write all these but last few incidents made me write this . Many times I was asked by my friends what happened in India with the girl and I felt ashamed telling them  though it is one of the most painful and brutal incident there are innumerable incidents happening in India  and that dnt try to go there alone. After years of struggling for freedom we were supposed to work towards glory we had almost broke the myth of “ India  the land of snake charmers” but this time we are slammed with a more realistic name “ India the land of Rapists”.

You have rightly hinted at some of the real causes behind the state of affairs now.

Right from the early ages, women are supposed to be treated unequal - associating with a girl at an early age is not looked upon well. You can do "manly" things like fight with others and drink, but associating with a girl of your age may not be something you have the right to do. It is this and other things which try to separate men and women like animals which has lead to the sad situation today. Women are still portrayed as objects of desire..and till that changes, nothing well. The problems are deep rooted and hence the solution is not castration.

Well articulated.
